News - important change to eVisa forms:
From 26 April 2008 the Department of Immigration and Citizenship will implement changes to the e676 and Student eVisa forms (both the online and offline eforms).
The eVisa forms available on the internet will be changed to contain additional questions on health and character. To avoid any unnecessary delays in processing, you are encouraged to complete all of the additional information prior to lodging your application online.
News: permission to work for student visa holders; fee change
From 26 April 2008, all student visas will be granted with permission to work, ie most student visa holders will no longer need to apply separately in Australia for work rights (the permitted hours of work will not change).
To accommodate the new arrangements, the Student Visa Application Charge (fee) will increase from 26 April 2008, though there will be an overall saving to student visa applicants as there will no longer be a separate work permission application fee. For more information, please visit the DIAC website.
